Position Summary
Phoenix Children’s is hiring a full time Interventional Radiology nurse position. In this role, the incumbent will assist with post-procedure turnover, provide lunch coverage/support, procedural assistance/support, board runner assistance/support, preop assistance/support, procedural sedation/support. There is some call required,1 weekday assigned call. Weekend call is approximately every 4 - 6 weeks (Saturday & Sunday) on a scheduled rotation. Must have a minimum of 1 - 2 years CRITICAL CARE (ICU/NICU/PICU/Cath Lab/OR) experience working in a hospital environment. Incumbent will work with a team of 6 providers and assist with 10 - 12 cases a day. Successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, and develop their critical thinking skills every day as we provide the best care for the children who come to the IR. This position works in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient and family to promote patient health through delivery of professional nursing care appropriate to patients age and condition as documented in the nursing and medical plans of care in accordance with evidence-based nursing and patient care practice standards and hospital goals, values and regulatory standards.
Education
- Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
Certifications
- Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association prior to start date. (Required)
