Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview
Join a well-established physician and midwife women's health group located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our team in West Seattle, WA.
Our Midwife team provides full scope midwifery care including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, GYN, annual exams, and family planning. This position is based out of our West Seattle clinic as part of VMFH Women's Health. There are 2 OB/GYN physicians and 2 CNM's based at this location. Midwives manage patients for hospital births and support in-house OB backup. Hospital culture is supportive of midwives and offers pain control options including nitrous oxide, IV meds and epidurals. Midwives practice full scope; managing labor, triage, inductions, attending births, assisting c/s and postpartum rounds. The weekly schedule is variable and typically includes two 8 hour clinic shifts and one 24 hour hospital/call shift in a 7 day work week.
We provide evidenced-based women's healthcare services to Burien, Des Moines, West Seattle and surrounding communities. Ideal candidates would have prior experience in full scope midwifery, a passion for underserved communities and a desire to practice long term in the West Seattle location. We are seeking candidates who are hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated to providing top-level patient care.

Hospital Overview
St. Anne Hospital is a 159 bed, Level III Trauma Center located in Burien, WA. The state of the art birth center has 22 beds and there is 24/7 in house Anesthesia coverage. St. Anne has a 6 bed Level II Special Care Nursery capable of caring for infants as young as 32 weeks. Our partner facility, St. Joseph Medical Center has a Level III NICU and is in close proximity for transfers if needed. We also have a partnership with Seattle Children's for specialty newborn care if needed. Our group does approximately 100 deliveries per month. St. Anne has achieved recognition by the International Lactation Consultant Association for excellence in lactation care.

Job RequirementsQualifications/Requirements:
CNM Certification
Washington State RN and APNP licensures required at time of employment
DEA, NPI and prescriptive authority
Current BLS for Health Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
