PRIMARY FUNCTION: To perform patient registration and scheduling in a busy imaging department and/or outpatient office, including obtaining financial and clinical information, insurance data and authorizations. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Register and schedule patients efficiently and accurately. Obtains identity, insurance and/or workers compensation information Answer and route calls in a high imaging department and/or office Checks and obtains approval for patient safety related items, i.e.- MRI Safety, Pregnancy, etc Requests and obtains medical records in preparation for patient's arrival Obtains and uploads outside studies for comparison for radiologist.
