The role requires proficiency in performing diagnostic sonographic examinations, ensuring the production of high-quality images, and analyzing technical information to provide accurate patient diagnoses. As part of the healthcare team, the Sonographer will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, contributing to patient care plans and ensuring the well-being of individuals under their care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to interact effectively with patients, explaining procedures clearly and alleviating any concerns they may have.
Completed Diagnostic Medical Sonography training or degree
Certification and licensure as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - AB and/ or OB required.
1 year previous full time experience post-graduation/post extern/internship.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of growth and development principles
Ability to assess and interpret patient data accurately
