
POSITION
SUMMARY
RP Sol is
seeking a full-time Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant to support our
growing practice in Tucson, AZ!
- Proficient with fluoroscopic
(static or dynamic) and invasive procedures, such as, GI, GU, HSG, arthrograms,
steroid joint injections / aspirations, assist or perform intravenous
contrast injections and other contrast agents used in Radiology under the
supervision of a radiologist, as well as closely monitoring patients for
adverse reactions.
- Experience with paracentesis,
thoracentesis, ultrasound/CT guided biopsies, tunneled catheters.
arthrogram procedures.
- Willing to learn US guided
procedures or other new skills over time.
- Multi-modality (CT, MR, etc.) to
help in other departments as needed.
- Reviews Images and provide
feedback of the studies performed in the form of a technical report to
assist the radiologist in the interpretation of specified studies.
- Monitor status of patient exams
to ensure patients have completed the necessary documents and are educated
on their medical care.
- Must be able to communicate
calmly, compassionately, and professionally with all different types of
patients exercising excellent customer service skills.
- The ability to work effectively
with other employees and maintain a cooperative working relationship
intra-departmentally and inter-departmentally.
- Ability to assist management with
quality control tasks and/or administration of daily site schedules.
- Scope of practice will be driven
by the needs of the Radiology department as determined by the radiologists
and in accordance with state and/or federal laws.
- Perform any other duties as
assigned.

RP Sol
provides subspecialty radiology coverage and support in partnership with
Northwest Healthcare, an integrated healthcare network in Tucson, AZ. The
Northwest Healthcare system is comprised of several facilities, including 4
hospitals, 3 of which are designated primary stroke centers, providing a range
of medical services to the local community.
The largest
hospital, Northwest Medical Center (NMC), is a full-service 287 bed hospital
delivering Tucson and surrounding communities with high quality, accessible
healthcare. NMC has a state-of-the-art women’s imaging center (including 3D
mammography), outpatient imaging, three ambulatory surgery centers, and five
urgent care facilities. The hospital is equipped with modern medical technology
and is staffed by healthcare professionals dedicated to providing quality
patient care.

DESIRED
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Applicants
with prior Interventional Radiology, Surgery, Emergency Medicine or similar experience
are preferred.
- Applicants must be graduates of
an ARC accredited PA program with active NCCPA certification, DEA license,
licensed or ability to be licensed in Arizona, and BLS/ACLS certification.
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $125,000-$150,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
