Nemours is seeking a MRI Technologist (Casual/PRN), Weekends, to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Orlando, Florida.

Our 130-bed pediatric hospital also features the area's only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. This position is responsible for: Performing Magnetic Resonance imaging studies while providing a quality health care service that includes total patient care in a comfortable, friendly environment. Excellent communication skills are essential to this position due to required continuous interaction with public and professional/ medical personnel. The MRI technologist should report to the Radiology Manager or Radiology Supervisor

Responsible for participation in departmental and hospital programs for Quality Assessment and Improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of the Nemours Foundation.

• Must have the ability to work well with others. Aids in the training of new personnel, students and physicians.
• Regular attendance required.
• Good Communication skills are required. In addition to accepting feedback, asking questions and active communication with counterparts and all departments.

Job Requirements

• Associate's Degree required.
• Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year experience required.
• MRI certification required upon hire: ARRT or ARMRIT.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire and must maintain.
• Certified MRI Safety Officer, MRSO preferred.
