APPs participate in all phases of diabetes management throughout ones hospitalization including: profiling new patients and readmissions for endocrine consults, perform comprehensive assessment and physicals, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating a diagnostic impression, developing and implementing a treatment plan, monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, prescription of pharmacological agents and treatments as well as non-p
