Overview A Certified Nurse Midwife actively participates in antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care of expectant females. Care may include independent evaluation and management of both low and higher risk patients, A midwife may perform vaginal deliveries of newborn babies. Midwife may assist physician with complicated, higher-risk deliveries. A midwife is expected to provide primary gynecologic care to women including gynecol
