Job Summary:

Join our team at LifeFlight's Critical Care Ground Team, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients in our state-of-the-art Critical Care Ambulance.
JOB SUMMARY
As a Registered Nurse on our LifeFlight Critical Care Ground Team, you'll be part of a dedicated team providing advanced care to critically ill patients. Our team is comprised of an EMT/AEMT, Critical Care Paramedic, and a Critical Care Nurse. Our fully functional critical care ground ambulance is equipped with essential tools for advanced care, including blood products, full monitoring with invasive hemodynamic values, specialized equipment such as Hamilton T1 ventilator, ISTAT, Medtronic pacemaker, High flow Nasal Cannula, 8-channel IV pump, a vast number of medications, and knowledge to operate VAD, Impella, IABP, and ECMO.
The nurse will also apply the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient continuum of care Effectively communicates pertinent patient information to the remainder of the CCGT team and accepting team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals with partner and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Further professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to LifeFlight, the TN State EMS office, KY State EMS office, the TN Board of Nursing, and CAMTS.
Position Shift:
36 hrs/wk; Full-Time Night Shift
Three (3) 12-hour shifts
$10,000 signing bonus for eligible new hires
Relocation stipend available based on mileage

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Registered Nurse License Required; must be eligible for compact license KY/TN
- 3 years relevant RN experience (critical care preferred)
- ACLS, BLS, PALS
- NRP (can be obtained during orientation)
- TNCC (equivalent advanced trauma certification) must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- NRP (can be obtained on orientation)
- Advanced certification must be obtained (CTRN or CFRN)
- EMT/AEMT certification required within one year of hire - KY & TN
Preferred
- Advanced Nursing Certification (CTRN or CFRN)
- NIMS IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800
- Previous transport experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
- Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
- Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
- Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
- Care Planning (Advanced) Able to determine life sustaining measures for optimal outcomes and possible reversal of underlying medical conditions.
- Patient Assessment & Evaluation (Advanced) Possesses advanced proficiency to assess and reevaluate changing patient conditions to include managing multiple IV infusions (i.e. vasopressors, sedation infusions, pain medication, anxiolytics, antihypertensive infusions) Analysis of advanced cardiac and respiratory equipment to changing patient's needs. Has experience in gathering pertinent clinical data that aid in referral, treatment, or other intensive care pathways. Clinical understanding of laboratory and radiological studies.
- Evidence-Based Practice(advanced) Possesses proficiency to successfully search for evidence to answer clinical questions.
- Safety- Practices proper lifting techniques and always optimizes safety standards.
- Technology fluid, able to navigate surveys, QR codes, online databases for medication and patient resources, online medical records, and digital protocols.
