Sundial is seeking a driven, skilled, and knowledgeable diagnostic medical sonographer with experience in obstetrics and gynecological ultrasound to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing fertility care, is detail-oriented and has an excellent bedside manner with patients. Sundial sonographers provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. The sonographer must operate all ultrasound equipment and have a solid understanding of and experience with the application of ultrasound technology. The sonographer will perform all ultrasound diagnostic procedures which include pelvic, abdominal, and obstetric sonograms (including transvaginal ultrasound). The sonographer will be responsible for creating and maintaining records of the diagnostic imaging performed. Sundial sonographers are also responsible for daily operations of our mobile care teams, including equipment maintenance, quality assessment (QA), and maintenance of pertinent medical and imaging records. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Travel to designated clinical care location at employer to deliver the highest quality of care, acting professionally at all times and maintaining discretion in the patient’s workplace
Perform OB/GYN ultrasound exams, including transvaginal ultrasound exams for follicular monitoring during IVF, comprehensive pelvic ultrasounds, and obstetric ultrasounds
Deliver an exceptional patient experience prioritizing the patient's medical care, comfort, safety, and privacy
Review pertinent patient history and plan of care prior to procedure, explain all procedures to patients, and perform patient and procedure confirmation
Perform ultrasound exams to the highest standard, including all AIUM requirements
Responsible for clarity and accuracy of ultrasound exam data
Complete all ultrasound documentation, ensure all reports are complete and successfully saved in medical record
Assemble and disassemble all mobile equipment at clinical sites, and ensure spaces are clean, safe, and ready for patient visits
Follow all company policies, including but not limited to Infection Control Policy and HIPAA Policy
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
3+ years of obstetric and gynecologic sonography. Knowledge of all aspects of obstetric and gynecologic sonography
Must be certified by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) with OB/GYN certification. Responsible for maintaining all necessary certification
A minimum of high school diploma and successful completion of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a flexible, positive attitude
Attention to detail and focus on clinical excellence
Comfortable working independently in mobile environment
Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and be willing to drive to offsite locations every day
