As an Ultrasonographer at Methodist, we strive to continue to build our skills by promoting healing through a variety of ways.  These include:

1. Assisting the physicians with biopsies and other invasive procedures
2. Performing a variety of complex specialized ultrasound exams in the specialties of abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular imaging in accordance with department protocol.
3. Additional opportunities are available for those with scanning knowledge in breast imaging, musculoskeletal, and neurosonography.

Our technologists take only one to two call days per month with call being limited to only venous doppler scans to R/O DVT, pregnancy studies, and testicular/ovarian torsion. We are working to eliminate call completely once fully staffed.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have an Associate’s degree in Allied Health and be ARDMS Certified: RDMS (AB) or (OB/GYN) or ARRT Certified: RT(S).
• One year of previous ultrasound experience preferred.
• Vascular credentials – RVT (VT) or RT (VS) – must be obtained within one year.
