Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Pediatric Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey

Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the Department of Surgery at Morristown Medical Center. This exciting opportunity involves working in a fully inpatient setting, play an integral role in providing exceptional patient care alongside surgical residents and a collaborative healthcare team.

As a Surgery NP, you will contribute to the provision of comprehensive patient care. This will include conducting thorough preoperative assessments, ordering, and interpreting diagnostic tests, assisting in surgical procedures under the guidance of attending surgeons, and managing postoperative care and patient recovery. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing thorough history and physical examinations, ordering, and reviewing results of laboratory and radiology studies, prescribing, and renewing medications, and developing and appropriately adjusting treatment plans.

• Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Minimum 1-2 years of Surgery experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
