SUMMARY OF POSITION:

At minimum, the Level I Cardiovascular Technologist is responsible for assisting the physician(s) with all routine scheduled diagnostic and interventional, and emergent adult procedures. Primary clinical roles include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring/recording during cardiovascular and peripheral procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Either graduate of a diploma, associate or baccalaureate academic program in health science (including cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular technology, or radiologic technology) plus two (2) years of Cardiac Catheterization lab experience.
  
• BLS and ACLS certification required within 6 months from date of hire.
• PALS certification required within 12 months from date of hire.
• Must possess or obtain RCIS, CI, or VI certification with the within 24 months from date of hire.
