Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols.  Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.  The student radiologic technologist will perform procedures at a technical level for all age groups requiring little or no supervision.  Most of the time the student radiologic technologist will be assigned to set hours but as the need arise the hours can change.  Participates in PI activities. 

Minimum Education
X Other Graduate of Radiologic Technology Program â–¡ Preferred X Required or currently in the process of completing the educational requirements to become registry eligible

 

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

X Basic Life Support (BLS)
BLS must be current within 30 days from hire date.

 

Required Skills
Must be registry eligible within one year of completion of an accredited program.
