Nurses are also skilled at difficult peripheral IV placement, implanted venous port access, care and maintenance and Intraosseous needle placement. Staff are also involved in teaching nurses, MD's and others. There is participation and ownership in the Vascular Access Policy and Procedures for the Hospital. They also participate in choosing products needed for our use. Department is open 24/7, 365 days a year.
