WHAT WE NEED:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Infectious Disease physician to join our team and meet the growing demands for our hospital based infectious disease services located at our 400 North Health Center in Michigan City, Indiana with outreach responsibilities at Munster and Hammond, Indiana.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Ideal candidate will have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Physician will need to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

• Hospital based practice

• 4 - 8 flexible hours of clinic per week

• Weekday call 1:8; Weekend call 1:4; Holiday call 1:4

• Average inpatient volume: 12 - 20 patients per day

• Collaborate with 8 physicians and 3 Nurse Practitioners within the Northern Indiana Infectious Disease Department spanning NW Indiana

• General ID services in a community hospital with an:

  • 18 bed ICU

  • Various surgical and medical specialties including Cancer Center, Cardiovascular Surgery & Orthopedics.

  • Full Interventional Radiology, Cardiology and Gastroenterology

• Outpatient ID consultation services include:

  • HIV

  • Hepatitis C

  • Outpatient antibiotics management via infusion center

• Strong mentorship possibilities

• Research opportunities if interested

• Tele-health opportunities if interested

• Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner on-site

Qualifications:

• Doctorate Required

• Physician License (DR) - Upon Hire Required

• Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required
