Dietetic Technician- Milk/Formula Lab Work Hours:10-hour shifts, 4 days a week, rotating weekends and holidays, 9AM-7:30PM As a dietetic technician, you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of all infant and pediatric formula and breast milk feeds in Duke University Hospital. Understanding of food safety and sanitation is a plus. Responsibilities:Prepare infant and pediatric formula accurately Monitors breast milk inventory using Timeless Medical SoftwareFortify specialized breast milk feedings Label, deliver, and manage feeds while following hospital protocols and procedures Maintain milk/formula lab suppliesSanitize work areas in compliance with facility HACCP plan for enteral feedingsCommunicate effectively with medical team Assist in training of ancillary personnel, as needed Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities: Use of thermometers, industrial freezers, liquid measuring equipment, syringes, calculator, cart for transporting formula, Gram Scale, dishwasherDetail orientedAbility to follow recipes accurately Basic mathematics Computer literacy including Microsoft excel and wordAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as neededAbility to stand for a prolonged period of time Education:Level I - High School Diploma.
