The role you’ll contribute:

Performs a variety of technical scanning procedures that require independent judgement and initiative as required in the application of ionizing radiation for Cat Scanning and MR procedures. Be responsible for designated areas, policies, and equipment.

• Performs all exams, on all types of patients: IP, OP and ED; using FH CT/MR protocols.  Follows FH policy for proper identification of patient prior to performing exam. Educates patient concerning exam. Properly screens patient for contrast allergies. Starts IVs and uses power injectors. Performs complicated 3D and CTA/MRA studies. (Exam Supervision and Administration)

• Completes all exams in a timely manner, keeps work flow moving for assigned campus, and minimizes empty table time.  Follows through after completing exam with communication, transportation and discharge of OP’s.  Monitors daily time and attendance. Orders supplies. (Personal Productivity and Accountability)

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

·     Successful completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology with advanced certification in both CT and MR.

·     5 years hospital experience

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

·     Current Florida X-ray technologist HRS license.

·     ARRT ( R )

·     ARRT (CT)

·     ARRT (MRI)
