The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth North Pinellas

The role you’ll contribute:

 Performs and supervises the various laboratory day-to-day operations and staffing of the laboratory. Coordinates testing, quality control and quality assurance activities. Oversees student and new staff training and personnel management assuring adequate staffing coverage to conform with regulations by the State of Florida.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Performs all duties of the Medical Technologist according to standard operating procedures.
• Ensures that adequate staff is scheduled to cover the workload.
• Ensures that technical results are reviewed as required.
• Writes and updates the applicable standard operating procedures and policies.
• Initiates corrective actions when problems occur.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Minimum qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or possess completed coursework as required by CLIA for a Medical Technologist
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Technologist training program.
  • Five (5) years’ experience as a Medical Technologist with increasing roles of responsibility.
• Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Five or more years’ experience in a leadership role in a clinical laboratory
  • Certified as a Medical Technologist by a national accrediting agency such as ASCP.
