Overview

St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Full-time Certified Anesthesia Technician (Evening Shift) to join our Surgical Services team.

Unit/Position SummaryUnder supervision of a licensed provider, the Certified Anesthesia Technician assists with routine to complex procedures before, during, and after anesthesia procedures.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, assists anesthesia providers by setting-up equipment and preparing medications.
• Assists the licensed provider with patient assessments, evaluations, transport, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines and airway management.
• Assists the licensed provider in clinical settings such as the operating room (OR), obstetrics suite (OB), interventional and or diagnostic radiology, Post anesthesia care unit (PACU).
• Assists in direct patient care under supervision in routine & emergency situations.
• Acts as a resource and collaborates with other resources and departments by providing technical guidance and instruction as appropriate.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience: 2 years's clinical experience
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification
  • Must have current certification in one or more of the following areas:
    • Certified Anesthesia Technician (CerAT)
    • National Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
    • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the State of Practice
    • Current recognized National Certification as a Medical Assistant
