JOB SUMMARY: The MRI Manager is responsible for the staff and activities of the MRI department while functioning within a matrix organizational structure. The MRI Manager directly reports to the Director of Imaging Services with dotted line responsibility to the physicians and administrators. The MRI Manager's direct reports include the MRI Technologists and clerical staff of the division. The MRI Manager will complete performance evaluations and will participate in the hiring and disciplinary action processes of their staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: ARRT Certification, MRI Certification, Texas State License, Bachelor's Degree Preferred; Radiology Sciences, Business and/or Management

Work Experience (Years and Area): 5-8 years MRI clinical; 3-5 years MRI supervisory

Management Experience (Years and Area):3-5 years MRI supervisory/management; preferably in an academic environment

Equipment Operated: MRI scanner, PACS, RIS and related clinical equipment

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Writing /Composing Correspondence, Writing /Composing Reports

Other Skills: Analytical, CRT, Medical Terms, P.C., Statistical
