The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Heart of Florida

• AdventHealth Heart of Florida is a licensed 193-bed acute care hospital, coupled with outpatient services including imaging, rehab, lab and wound care, that has been serving the community for over 50 years.
• As a part of the AdventHealth network patients will have greater access to a wide range of innovative therapies, new research, leading-edge technology and an extensive team of medical specialists.
• High-quality care that has been recognized by the Joint Commission, the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association.
• Located in Davenport, FL., which is close to major destinations, like Busch Gardens, Legoland, and Walt Disney World, without being located in the central hub of tourism.

The role you’ll contribute:

• Competently functions in all roles for procedures performed in the Cath and Vascular Labs within the scope of practice – Circulate, Scrub, and monitor.
• Follows through on problems that may compromise patient care by using the appropriate chain of command.
• Communicates appropriate information to charge nurse/supervisor/manager in a timely manner.
• Initiates immediate and effective emergency treatment for life saving conditions.  Ascertain pregnancy in female patients of childbearing years.
• Documents accurately and timely according to guidelines. Writes Legibly.
• Ensures supplies and equipment for patient care are readily available and organized in an efficient manner.
• Monitors patients post procedures professionally, safely and according to established guidelines/orders.
• Utilizes shielding/collimation to minimize patient radiation exposure, complies with Radiation Safety Procedures and ALARA principles; monitors own radiation exposure.
• Consistently ensures optimal operation of all technical equipment, including lead aprons and arranging preventive maintenance as needed.
• Completes other duties as assigned and proactively anticipates the needs of other team members.
