Adult Hospitalist Nocturnist

Want to work in an environment with great team work and a focus on quality?  Memorial Hospital of South Bend is seeking BC/BE Adult Hospitalists Nocturnist to start a new nocturnitst program “your way” and add to our growing and expanding service.  At Memorial, nocturnists have the opportunity to work predictable hours and have support with 24 hour ICU coverage, procedural support, No CODE BLUE, RAT Call or CODE Stroke responsibility.  The practice treats patients with a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and interesting pathology.  Providers have the opportunity to cooperate in the care of varied medical issues across many specialties, including surgery, ICU and our Level II Trauma Center.

The hospitalist department at Memorial is well respected in the community; providers receive great support from the specialists with whom they work.  In addition, our highly skilled interventional radiology department provides procedural support for our hospitalists.  High-patient satisfaction scores combined with low-turnover rates demonstrate the strength and stability of the hospitalist program.  The unique scheduling system allows providers to create a work-life balance, while group congeniality within the program generates a positive work atmosphere.  A full time position includes approximately 183 shifts per year.  You will have excellent sub-speciality support and have a great relationship with the ER.  Also unique are separate call shifts allowing focused, uninterrupted rounding shifts.

Affiliation with Indiana University School of Medicine in South Bend and Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency allows for teaching of residents, medical students and supervision of post-graduate trainees.
