In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English. The mammography coordinator will assist the WVPM and the WHMD with quality improvement strategies to meet goal performance measure for mammogram tracking and reporting for all service lines performing primary care for female Veterans. The primary responsibility of the incumbent is to track and coordinate all breast and cervical cancer screening services, including but not limited to mammography, breast MRI, ultrasound and associated biopsies, cervical cytology, and HPV testing done within the VA and by community providers.
