Learn more at www.multicarejobs.orgPosition Summary:The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing technical and/or radiologic procedures associated with mammography at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. This position works under limited supervision. Work situations are a variety of routine and reoccurring functions, which require strong customer service skills, the use of discretion and good judgment, and attention to detail. Procedures performed require technical expertise and independent judgment in order to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Internal contacts are primarily with patient care staff. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, and peers. Minimum Requirements:Previous experience with electronic patient information systems and/or mammography tracking systems preferred Education/Licenses/Certifications:Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology in an AMA approved schoolRegistered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certified with the State of Washington Department of HealthMammography Certification required, or eligible for certification. If eligible, must obtain certification within 6 months of hire into this job classification.
