Details Posted: 06-Mar-23 Location: Morristown/NJ/USA Salary: Open Categories: Allied Health Required Education: High School Internal Number: 121799051 Overview Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Sonographer Technologist at the Radiology-Ultrasonagraphy Depatment to work various shifts including weekends.Responsibilities Essential Functions/Responsibilities:Prepares patients for US exams and explains the procedure to the patients prior to exam.Correlates the clinical history and the patient with the US exam to be performed. Differentiates artifacts from the normal pathological processes and recognizes equipment limitations. Maintains lists of sonographic exams performed from each patient as well as document the preliminary reading by the radiologists. Troubleshoot problems regarding eaily operation of equipment-notifying appropriate personnel in the event of equipment malfunction.Communicate effectively with Manager, Coordinator, Leads, Physicians and other personnel in a professional manner.Qualifications Minimum Education:High School Diploma or GED requiredGraduate of an RDMS Accredited Ultrasound Program requiredMinimun Experience:RDMS - New graduates must be RDMS eligible and passed the physics portion of exam.
