The work is performed on hospital patients and outpatients in accordance with established procedures and protocols of the department under the direct supervision of the interpreting physician. The technologist is responsible for all non-invasive vascular procedures in the vascular laboratory. The technologist must show significant, independent judgment in performing all procedure and be able to deal with difficult or unusual situations. Must be able to evaluate studies for technical quality and correlate with other modalities when appropriate. Responsible for direct supervision of the technical and clerical staff at locations where there is no immediate supervisor/manager.
