Some exclusions may apply. The ICU department at Parker Adventist Hospital is a Specialty Level II Trauma unit and a Cardiac and Stroke Program Center of Excellence with 16 beds. We have a mixed acuity and service medical surgical ICU. The patient mix is mostly medical which covers anything from acute renal failure, sepsis, neuro surgical, trauma, stroke and heart attack patients. Our mission is to provide high quality service and care to our community. This department has a great culture of team work, with room to grow within the department, both personal and professional. After one year, associates can advance their professional certifications with the experience they have gained in our department. We look for candidates that are adaptable, team oriented and are self-driven. Job Summary:Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
