Atlantic Heath System is seeking a Per-Diem Radiographer for the Rockaway Ambulatory Surgery Center at Morristown Medical Center to work 7:00am - 3:00pm.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• The Radiology Technician is responsible for the maintenance, quality, efficiency, safety and overall service of radiological procedures.
• Responsible for carrying out fluoroscopy procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Performs fluoroscopy procedures under the supervision of the physicians.
• Educates patients regarding the procedure to be performed.
• Helps prepare patient for fluoroscopy.
• Checks supplies and maintains equipment.
• Responsible for dosimeter badges/records, as well as badge processing and follow-up.
• Responsible for compliance with all State and Federal regulations regarding radiological procedures pertaining to this practice.
• Responsible for preventive maintenance of machine and ensuring equipment inspection.
• Adheres to the standards promulgated by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology for Technologists.

Minimum Experience:

• ASC experience a plus.
• Fluoroscopy training and competency

Licenses/Certifications:

• Certificate from an accredited program.
• Registered with ARRT Licensed by the State of NJ. 24 continuing education credits every two years (ASRT)

Qualifications:

• Possess willingness to accept orders and to perform repetitive tasks.
• Previously demonstrated performance in a medical environment.
