Diag Med Sonographer-VCMG - Pelandale Specialty Center - PT/Days

SUMMARY: Performs a variety of standard and specialty pediatric diagnostic sonographic procedures with little or no supervision, accurately, producing quality studies under a variety of conditions. Assists in the identification and resolution of work process issues within the department. Maintains and respects patient's confidentiality. Exercises professional judgment in the performance and delivery of service excellence while maintaining a demeanor complementary to medical and professional code of ethics. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care. Position may involve some travel throughout the regional area.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a High School Diploma/GED AND a graduate from a formal program in Ultrasonography that meets the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) qualifications or trained through a Radiologic Technology program OR a College degree - 2 year in Ultrasonography (or other Imaging related field). BLS - Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position. ARDMS-AB - ARDMS Abdomen certification is required. ARDMS - American Reg of Diag Med Song In at least one (1) other specialty preferred. A minimum two (2) years experience in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is preferred. Must possess sound judgement and critical thinking skills to appropriately evaluate situations and determine the best method for achieving optimal results. Sound knowledge of anatomy/physiology within the perinatal environment. Good communication skills and ability to use proper channels of communication to achieve optimal service and results. Bilingual Skills are preferred.

POSITION DETAILS: Part-time, 40 hours per pay period. Day shifts.

PAY RANGE: $35.90 - $57.55
