The University of Vermont Children’s Hospital at the University of Vermont Medical Center in beautiful Burlington, Vermont is seeking a pediatric and congenital cardiac sonographer to join our team! We care for patients with congenital heart disease from fetus to neonate to adult in close collaboration with physicians and the medical team. We perform over 2,100 echocardiogram examinations per year including 350 fetal echocardiograms. UVM Children’s Hospital is home to the only IAC credentialed pediatric echocardiography laboratory in the state of Vermont.

Our sonographers are essential and collaborative members of our team, providing superb imaging services in support of their medical colleagues and also actively participating in educational, quality improvement and research initiatives of the laboratory.

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont consists of four faculty members and four congenital cardiac sonographers.

EDUCATION:

High school graduate or equivalent, graduate of a certified CAAHEP school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiac Technology or a two year allied health equivalent. Must be ARDMS registered with RDCS credential.

EXPERIENCE:

1-5 years’ experience
