The TempForce ED Nurse Wilson County is a 13-week assignment at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital. In this role you will be responsible for applying the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. The ED Nurse effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center TempForce was created to connect temporary talent to all areas of VUMC. TempForce places diverse and skilled personnel to departments across the Medical Center.

Department Summary:

The Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital Emergency Department is a busy and growing 15 bed ED with a 4 bed Fast Track. The ED utilizes the Epic EMR for documentation of visits. Shifts are 12 hours with every other weekend required as well as holiday rotation.

Shifts:

• Night Shift: 7:00PM - 7:00AM
• 6 weekend shifts per schedule
• No On-Call

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (or equivalent experience) and 1-year relevant experience.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR):

• Registered Nurse Required
