Atlantic Health System is seeking per diem Sonography Technologists to work varied shifts including weekends as requested by department at Morristown Medical Center.

• Prepares patients for US exams and explains the procedure to the patients prior to exam.
• Correlates the clinical history and the patient with the US exam to be performed.
• Differentiates artifacts from the normal pathological processes and recognizes equipment limitations.
• Maintains lists of sonographic exams performed from each patient as well as document the preliminary reading by the radiologists.
• Troubleshoot problems regarding eaily operation of equipment-notifying appropriate personnel in the event of equipment malfunction.
• Communicate effectively with Manager, Coordinator, Leads, Physicians and other personnel in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

• Graduate of an RDMS Accredited Ultrasound Program

License/Certifications:

• RDMS Certified - New graduates must be RDMS eligible and passed the physics portion of exam

Relevant Experience:

• 1-3 years of prior experience preferred
