As a Rad Tech, you need to be able to: Perform radiographic procedures in order to obtain desired radiographic results according to physiciansâ™ specifications that includes, but is not limited to: transferring patients for examinations, ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, and assisting with the x-ray examination process Be responsible for appropriate operation of all X-Ray Imaging and related equipment Appropriately educate, position, immobilize and perform X-Ray procedures Coordinate X-Ray examination to ensure timeliness, quality and continuity of patient care Understand and follow provider Imaging orders correctly Submit required images and related clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation Appropriately evaluate image quality Provide open, accurate, and responsive communication to patients, coworkers, Radiologists and leadership Appropriately utilize, charge and maintain department supplies Practice sterile technique and follow infection prevention policies Be able to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines Safely perform X-Ray procedures including patient transfer Prepare and administer contrast according to Radiologist protocol Follow Radiation Safety Measures (ALARA) to ensure patient and staff safety Supervise and evaluate Student Radiographers in the clinical setting Your experience. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require: Current Registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Current Radiologic Technology License with Montana Board of Radiologic Technologists Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire (with prior approval) Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment Experience in understanding and usage of computers as well as the ability to learn applications relevant to the position Your next move.
