In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.

*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.

Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.

Job Description

MSK Commack is an outpatient facility located in Commack, NY. This site allows us to offer the most advanced cancer care services to residents of Long Island.

We are seeking a Per Diem CT Technologist to join our growing team at MSK Commack.

You will:* Perform a variety of CT. and X-ray imaging procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity with minimal supervision, on patients of all age groups.* Operate CT scanners and associated equipment safely and in accordance with established policies and practices.* Explain procedures to patients, monitoring for patient safety and comfort, administering contrast (IV and/or Oral).* Conduct imaging in accordance to established protocols and quality standards.* Enter complete and accurate documentation into all MSK/Radiology systems.* Perform general radiology procedures.

You need:* Associate's Degree / Certified Vocational Training or Graduate of a 2 yr AMA approved Radiology school.* ARRT in Radiography and CT* Minimum 2 yrs experience in CT preferred and operating GE systems.* NYS Department of Health License in Diagnostic Radiography, IV Certification.

Hours:* Varied shifts between 7am - 8pm, Saturdays; weekday evening hours possible for coverage. Work schedules can be fixed or flexible.* Initial training may be required during the week (Days/hours to be determined).
