You bring your body, mind, heart and spirit to your work as an Imaging Technologist II / Certified CT Technologist. Your compassion is tangible: patients feel it in the hand they hold. Families feel it in your prayers. Colleagues feel it in your support. You know when to move quickly. When to sit quietly. When to laugh loudly. Youâ™re great at what you do, but you want to be part of something even greater. Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible. Us. St. James Healthcare is part of SCL Health, a faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care. Our 98-bed hospital is the only full-service acute care facility in Butte, and weâ™re the largest hospital serving a seven-county area. Our mission is to bring health and hope to the poor, the vulnerable, our communities and each other. Benefits are one of the ways we encourage health for you and your family. Our generous package includes medical, dental and vision coverage. But health is more than a well-working body: it encompasses body, mind and social well-being. To that end, weâ™ve launched a Healthy Living program to address your holistic health. Healthy Living includes financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling and paid time off. We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning. We. Together weâ™ll align mission and careers, values and workplace. Weâ™ll honor each otherâ™s dignity and surpass the standards we set. Weâ™ll encourage joy, demand safety and take pride in our integrity. Weâ™ll laugh at each otherâ™s jokes (even the bad ones). Weâ™ll hello and high five. Weâ™ll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing. Weâ™re proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn. Your day. As an Imaging Tech II / Certified CT Tech, you need to know how to: Access, manage and accurately update patient medical records through Hospital Electronic Medical Record Information Systems. Input Physicianâ™s orders appropriately to patientâ™s records. Maintain patient confidentiality as outlined by privacy and HIPAA guidelines. Practice according to the ARRT Standards of Ethics. Educate, interview, screen and explain imaging and safety procedures to patients regarding the biological effects of radiation and/or magnetic field protection and safety prior to beginning any imaging procedure to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation. Position patient on imaging table and utilize immobilization devices as warranted for safety or to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body as requested by a Physician and following protocols developed by a Radiologist. Administer contrast media orally or in intravenous administration according to Radiologist and/or Pharmacy guidelines. Monitor patient during procedures either through direct contact, by the use of two-way voice communication or through control room window and/or closed circuit TV screen. Practice universal safety precautions, radiation protection techniques and magnetic field education to minimize exposure to patient, self and staff. Perform and provide evidence of ongoing quality assurance activities and collaborate and participate in quality review with others to evaluate the quality of care, performance and patient satisfaction (HCAPPS Survey and Radiologist/Physician Orders). Order supplies according to established par and budget levels and the posting of correct procedure charges. Your experience. We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require: Associateâ™s degree or diploma from a 2-year college or technical school or a minimum of 6 months of related experience and/or training, required. Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire (with prior approval), required.
