Summary

Under minimal supervision, Ultrasound Technologist performs basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures, as requested by a licensed physician.
Ultrasound Technologist exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
Ultrasound Technologist may be multi-credentialed in the area of sonography.
Ultrasound Technologist completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
Other related duties as assigned to Ultrasound Technologist

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality diagnostic sonographs as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
• Assists with amnio procedure biopsies
• Processes and files films as needed

Wed, Thur and Fri 2pm - 10:30pm and Sat 7am -7pm

Education

Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Sonography
Preferred: Associates degree

Experience

Preferred: 1-3 years

Certifications

RDMS, Sonographer�s must be certified in Abdomen and retroperitoneal, and or vascular, Breast preferred. BLS approved by the American Heart Association
