Position Summary

This position is responsible for the coordination and management of the physician schedules for office based procedures, outpatient surgery, laboratory, radiology, and inpatient services. The position works with systems, physicians and team members to appropriately schedule complex services. This position can act as a scheduler as back-up and secures authorization for upcoming complex services.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

Experience

• 3 or more years of experience in office visit, surgical, inpatient or radiology scheduling or any combination totaling at least 3 years of experience. (Required)
• Medical or Healthcare Terminology (Required)
• Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred)
• Insurance authorization experience (Preferred)

Certifications

• No certification/license/registry requirements have been added to this JDR. (Required)

Special Skills

• 5 or more years with computer based systems (Required)
