Job Summary: Position possess the knowledge and skills necessary to meet standards for professional practice in accordance with
ARRT. Practice is characterized by a balance of dependent and interdependent decision making. Competently functions
as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Position recognizes when he/she needs assistance and seeks appropriate resources

Major Responsibilities / Duties / Critical Tasks:- Responsible for providing technical expertise in performance of diagnostic sonography.
- Prepares patient for specialty imaging procedures by accurately assessing patient's needs and providing patient
education.
- Operates specialty sonography equipment for image production and documentation of images, performs quality control
measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images, and prepares patient's images for interpretation by
radiologist, practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
- Provides guidance and direction to other ultrasound personnel when required.
- Ensures department is joint commission compliant and adheres to internal controls established for the department.
- Accountable for the identification and reduction of unsafe practices that could cause harm to patients.

Required Education / Experience:

 High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Graduate from an AMA Accredited ARDMS Program is required

Required Licenses/Certifications:

 Licensed through ARDMS to perform ultrasound technologist duties.
- Board certified in ABD/Small Parts.
