Provides leadership for the provision of quality patient care in accordance with the hospital's mission, goals and philosophy.Job Specific DutiesFunctions as clinical expert/role model for the Interventional Radiology department, identifying clinical and communication issues.Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team in daily care planning, as appropriate, and fosters a Family Centered Care Environment. Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team to improve workflow processes to positively impact the patient and family experience.Responds and provides direction in planning, organizing, delegating and coordinating unit related activities, including fiscal responsibility, as well as specialty service activities.Conducts all training for new employees, serves as a preceptor for service line and assesses employee skills and competencies.Promotes a safe "error free" working environment by consistently performing thorough hand-offs and infection prevention measures.Provides nursing care that includes IV site monitoring, specimen collection, and assists medical team with specific procedures.
