Details Posted: April 1, 2021 Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota Show Map Salary: Open Overview This position is at the University of Minnesota Medical Childrens Hospital (West Bank) and will be working with adult and pediatric patients in the Interventional Radiology environment. This position will work 48 hour s per two weeks, 8-hour Day shifts (7 - 15:30) or (7:30 - 16:00) or (8 - 16:30), This position requires call: weekday call is 1630-0700 and will be assigned to take one weekday call per week. Weeken ds are on an on-call basis, starting Friday evening at 1630 and 24 hours/day Saturday and Sunday. Your call weekend is approximately every third-fourth weekend. Holidays are on-call only, and it is expected that you take at least one holiday call rotation per year, holiday assignments are rotated through the team. This position is eligible for full benefits. Responsibilities/Job Description The Interventional Radiology RN is responsible for the safe care of patients undergoing Interventional Radiology Procedures. The duties include administration and monitoring of moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management and management of critical care infusions.Ability to respond to emergency situations within the department. Assists with the triage of inpatients and the daily procedural flow to insure optimal efficiencies. Candidate must be highly adaptable, self-directed, able to work in a fast paced environment and demonstrate strong critical thinking skills. Must demonstrate ability to communicate and collaborate well within a team environment and with ancillary departments. Must be willing to embrace the MHealth Fairview Culture of Safety Always, by placing patient safety at the forefront of every encounter. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. Qualifications Required: Current MN RN License PALS certification required; willing to obtain ACLS within three months of hire Associates Degree Minimum of two years of IR experience Proficient in infant and pediatric IV starts Able to wear lead attire during radiologic procedures Preferred: BSN Preferred previous IR experience Able to train to competency in the care of the adult patient, including the procedural sedation of adults We can recommend jobs specifically for you!
