Details Posted: March 31, 2021 Location: Detroit, Michigan Show Map Salary: Open Discipline: Allied Health As directed, supervises the personnel and operational activities of assigned functional area(s) of diagnostic imaging services. Ensures that prescribed diagnostic procedures are performed according to department standards. Supports departmental, hospital and system initiatives. Serves as a representative for Diagnostic Imaging on various hospital committees, meetings, task forces, etc. Participates in staff in-services, continuous quality improvement efforts and all regulatory inspections, as required. Completes department productivity and payroll reports, as assigned. Oversees staffing schedules and assignments. Delegates, oversees and guides staff in carrying out their respective duties. Drafts policy provisions and provides interpretation of function or department policies. Identifies the need for and drafts or defines procedures/protocols in collaboration with higher management input, goals and objectives and in accordance with system-wide goals and objectives. Modifies procedures/protocols as necessary. Monitors the quality and quantity of work flow to ensure work is completed. Initiates/recommends personnel actions such as performance appraisals, hiring, performance improvement plans, and progressive discipline up to termination of employment. Ensures timely completion of performance appraisals. Develops daily, monthly and/or yearly goals and measures for area (s) of responsibility. Assists in developing and monitoring budget for single or multiple, closely-related fields, area or process. Monitors activities for and ensures compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements and DMC policies. As directed, implements external and internal audit recommendations. Ensures hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of their suppliers. #LI-LB3Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in clinical healthcare discipline, or Bachelors degree in Science or related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2. Certified/registered in at least one of the following modalities: General Radiology (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB), Ultrasound (ARDMS). 3. Required to have or successfully complete American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS) training by end of orientation period. 4. Two to three years of technical experience in Radiology with demonstrated supervisory capabilities.
