Details Posted: March 30, 2021 Location: Austin, Texas Show Map Salary: Open Discipline: Allied Health Job Summary:The Regional Director, Neurosciences, assists in defining and coordinating the Neuroscience Service Line across the Austin/Round Rock region.. The Director is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic plan for the Neuroscience Service Line, including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Physical Medicine, Pain Management, Neuro-Oncology, and Neuro-Radiology services. The Director establishes strategic goals and budgets to achieve optimal financial performance, patient, employee and physician satisfaction targets, policies/procedures and quality outcomes. Other responsibilities include coordinating the Neuroscience Advisory Council meetings, providing comprehensive data, reports, project management, analyzing and organizing clinical, financial and administrative data.-Provides focused oversight and direction to multiple clinic and hospital programs-Develops and oversees the annual operational and capital budgets for assigned areas of responsibility. Ensures that director reports within each area are operating within budget targets.-Develops, reviews, revises, submits and implements policies, procedures, goals and objectives for all assigned areas of responsibility. Ensures that policies and procedures are consistent with Baylor Scott & White Health goals and objectives. Monitors compliance with policies and procedures, standards and process improvement initiatives.-Participates in the interviewing, hiring, orienting, counseling, evaluating and disciplinary actions for assigned staff.-Promotes a positive customer service culture which encourages quality patient outcomes and enhances the image of the institution and promotes staff retention.-Implements and maintains operational excellence through cost, quality and service management.Develops and maintains effective working relationships with medical staff and nursing leaders.-Participates in leading and managing change related to hospital and system-wide strategies, initiatives and desired outcomes through communication, management training and promoting stakeholder buy-in within assigned areas of responsibility.-Coordinates communication between departments, services and hospitals to ensure the goals and objectives are met.-Works with marketing to assess the marketplace and competitor data. Assists in developing growth and marketing plans and presents findings and recommendations for potential growth to the Neuroscience Advisory Council-Develops and implements strategic business plan for the neuroscience service line.-Creates a clear plan and monitors performance for the development of increased tertiary referrals to the services.-Assists with efforts to streamline processes and increase volume. Creates monitoring systems to develop benchmarks for best practices.-Active member of the Neuroscience Advisory Council.-Responsible for financial data monitoring and trending for services. Develops an annual Neuroscience Profit and Loss and drives improvements and outcomes from such data.-Assists leadership in facility planning and projects related to Neuroscience Service Line -Participates in hospital planning activities and develops strategies for patient services that are consistent with the organization’s mission, vision and values.-Assists to ensure that the overall operation is in compliance with policies and all relevant Federal, State and local regulatory agencies and the Joint Commission standards.-Represents Baylor Scott & White Health to the public, other health care organizations and professional organizations.
