As a Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Services Engineer III, you will be part of the Technology Management team providing implementation, service, and support for all Banner Health medical equipment. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to service and maintain the site. In addition to being a primary service engineer, incumbents provide regional technical support for resolving difficult equipment issues. This position will be used within Customer Service and applies to all modalities and requires minimal supervision. Incumbents provide leadership to one or more established work team environment/structures may provide OJT to lower level engineers. CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Proactively initiates and drives the team processes that are conducive to high customer satisfaction levels and consistent business outcomes. Shares best practices within local teams and is motivated towards team outcomes. The incumbent works closely with his/her management team and other departments in collaboration with one common goal. 2. Identifies training opportunities for regional team members and facilitates training as needed. 3. Anticipates changing customer needs based on varying environments and provides guidance to team members as to how to best adapt to changing priorities. 4. Acts as a resource in response to escalated customer inquiries and communicates appropriate information by sharing information with the appropriate personnel or departments. The incumbent provides a positive and cohesive team image when discussing all departmental information or overall change management processes. 5. Identifies customer issues and provides resolution while providing the customer with the appropriate communication. Diagnoses to the component level and provides explanation of repair status and resolution to the customer, peers and internal management. 6. In conjunction with the management, this position has responsibility for independently managing their assigned areas. This position has overall operational guidance, service support scheduling and vendor management responsibility. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must possess knowledge of electronics and/or biomedical as normally obtained through the completion of an associate's degree in electronics. Must posses a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy. Demonstrated proficiency in resolving complex technical problems as typically achieved through seven years exposure to the electronics/computer industry in a field service environment. Experience in diagnostic imaging equipment is required. Previous experience with electronic circuit boards, processors and computer hardware including applications, programming and systems functionally required. Knowledge of regulatory requirement (Federal and State Radiation performance standards, registration, Quality Systems Regulations, EPA regulations and OSHA regulations required. Able to share knowledge and cooperate in a team environment to achieve assigned goals and objectives take direction from team leaders and proactively complete assignments. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or related education and/or experience preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
