Summary

Precisely and accurately performs and evaluates a variety of technical procedures in the different specialties, sub-specialties and locations based on State licensure and experience. Utilizes all principles of quality control in the performance of laboratory testings according to established DMC and Tenet Healthcare Corporation Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and guidelines. Adheres to all Federal, State and Regulatory Agency standards (Joint Commission, AHCA, AABB). Performs and fulfills all HICS (Hospital Incident Command System) responsibilities as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency/disaster.

Position Qualifications

Education

Minimum: Associate's Degree in Science or other qualification recognized by the State of Florida for Technologist level licensure
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

Experience

Completion of an approved course of Clinical Training in Medical Technology

Required Certifications/Licensure/Registration

Medical Technologist - State of Florida Generalist or licensure at the supervisor level

Other Qualification

Licensure in multiple areas; ASCP Certification preferred

Per Diem Days, including rotating weekend shifts
