Private OB/GYN practice is seeking a friendly, compassionate, skilled full-time or part-time Sonographer who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team, and is passionate about providing the highest quality health care to patients. Our Sonographers perform quality diagnostic ultrasonic procedures, utilizing knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging technique and patient treatment following the AIUM guidelines. Daily requirements will include the full scope of obstetric and gynecologic diagnostic imaging, both abdominally and trans-vaginally including, but not limited to, ultrasound images of the pregnant patient as part of the detailed fetal anatomic survey, first trimester and nuchal translucency screening, biophysical profile, and other Obstetric and Gynecologic imaging as indicated.

We have three office locations and some travel between offices may be required. This  position  could be part-time or full-time.

Job Functions & Responsibilities: 

• Assists the physicians in executing quality ultrasound exams as per the AIUM protocols in a timely efficient manor while obtaining images that supports the diagnosis documented by the interpreting MD
• Obtains essential information from patients, medical records and previous exams for clinical correlation
• Effectively communicates differences to interpreting physicians
• Generates accurate computerized reports for the physicians’ review
• Ensures that each assigned room is properly stocked and is prepared for smooth daily patient flow
• Observes and follows safety procedures, including universal precautions
• Maintains proper HIPPA compliance
