Details Posted: February 19, 2021 Location: Chicago, Illinois Show Map Salary: Open The Rush University Cancer Center and Comprehensive Brain and Spine Tumor Center at Rush University Medical Center is seeking a full-time N euro-oncologist to join an active and expanding program. The ideal candidate will be able to lead and build the neuro-oncology program at Rush and have experience with clinical trials. Qualified candidates must have completed an approved fellowship program and be board eligible or board certified. Candidates must also be UCNS certified in Neuro-Oncology and have experience in clinical trials. Candidates should be eligible for faculty appointment in Rush Medical College at the rank of Associate or Professor level depending on qualifications. The Neuro-Oncology Program at Rush is one of the largest and busiest in the Midwest. The Coleman Foundation Comprehensive Brain Tumor Clinic provides a multidisciplinary approach that ensures every patient receives state-of-the-art care, tailored to the specific patient and designed by the most experienced and qualified specialists in the area. Our new, state-of-the-art facility in Chicago will be a destination center for cancer and neuroscience care and will serve as a hub for services throughout our health system. Our core programs are supported by multi-disciplinary teams from medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, research and bioinformatics, clinical operations, and dedicated clinical and support staff, including patient navigators. This structure allows specialists to more easily consult and see patients based on tumor type or molecular and genomic signatures, combining our outstanding multidisciplinary approach with a data infrastructure that supports this patient-centered care. This integration enables us to make a greater commitment to research, dramatically scaling the effectiveness of clinical trials, and enabling translational research that moves bench to bedside, and bedside to bench.
