Details Posted: February 9, 2021 Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota Show Map Salary: Open Overview MHealth Fairview is looking for a RN at University of Minnesota Medical Center (East Bank) in the adult Interventional Radiology department. This position is 56 or 64 hours per 2 weeks, 8 hour shifts (7:30am 4pm or 9:30am 6pm) Call requirements 6pm 7am on weekdays; Weekend call is Friday 6pm-7am and 24hr Saturday/Sunday every 6th weekend; and a rotating on call schedule of one holiday per calendar year. Required to be within 30 minutes. This position is benefit eligible. The Interventional Radiology Department at the University provides service to both in and outpatient clientele. We work with both Vascular and Neuro interventional radiologists. We offer a wide range of procedures from acute strokes; pulmonary thrombectomy; biopsies and line placements The Interventional Radiology Department is comprised of 8 state of the art IR Suites: 4 angio suites- 1 bi-plane, 1 Nexaris Suite ; 2 fixed C-angio suites; 1 C-arm room, 2 ultrasound rooms, and 1 CT room. Responsibilities/Job Description The Interventional Radiology RN is responsible for the safe care of patients undergoing Interventional Radiology Procedures. The duties include administration and monitoring of moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management and management of critical care infusions.Ability to respond to emergency situations within the department. Assists with the triage of inpatients and the daily procedural flow to insure optimal efficiencies. Candidate must be highly adaptable, self-directed, able to work in a fast paced environment and demonstrate strong critical thinking skills. Must demonstrate ability to communicate and collaborate well within a team environment and with ancillary departments. Must be willing to embrace the MHealth Fairview Culture of Safety Always, by placing patient safety at the forefront of every encounter. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Current MN RN License ACLS BLS BSN/BAN Minimum of two years of critical care: ED, ICU or PACU Able to train to competency in procedural sedation.
