Details Posted: February 10, 2021 Location: New York, New York Show Map Type: Full Time - Experienced Discipline: Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants A new midwifery-led practice is seeking a full-time experienced Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to a well established hospital in NYC. The midwife will independently manage primary health screening, health promotion, and care of women from the premenarchal period through the lifespan and be divided into primary, preconception, gynecologic, antepartum, intrapartum, and post-pregnancy care. The midwife will advocate for informed choice, shared decision-making, and the right of self-determination for our patients all with co-management and collaboration with MFM physicians, OB/GYN’s and other specialists. Job Responsibility Include, but not limited to: Conducts complete history and physical examinations/health assessments of patients in the outpatient setting Initiates selected therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consultation and laboratory examinations Responsible for the management of the medically uncomplicated and low-risk patient throughout the maternity cycle Assume management of labor and delivery of the medically uncomplicated low risk patients Performs related duties as required Job Qualification: Certification by the ACNM designated certifying agent Certification and license as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is required At least 3 years of experience as a midwife Current license to practice as a Midwife in the State of New York NOTES: 2 openings.
