Responsible for leading accreditation process and formulating action plans to address deficiencies.Oversees specialty accreditations for Cancer Institute such as but not limited to: National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), American College of Radiology (ACR), American Society of Clinical Oncology-Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (ASCO-QOPI), National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC). Responsible for leading interdisciplinary team in the development of clinical programs to meet accreditation requirements.Responsible for serving as content expert for cancer accreditation and registries. Provides department and operational leadership with best practice recommendations. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of current trends and practice by attending national conferences, continuing education programs and review of current literature.Responsible for overseeing clinical registry operations, including national data submissions, data quality assurance reviews, interpretation of regulatory standards, and overall program management. Partners with physician leaders and department to leverage cancer registry data to support monitoring and improvement of cancer care and research into cancer treatment and care delivery. Compliance / Regulatory Responsibility: Oversees compliance with all local, state and federal regulatory agencies regarding cancer data reporting and its impact to the Cancer program. Adheres to applicable practice standards specific to area of responsibility. Responsible for ensuring AdventHealth meets mandatory State and Federal requirements for reporting of cancer cases.Responsible for achieving continued accreditation by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACoS CoC). Leads accreditation process and formulates action plans to address deficiencies in partnership with department and physician leaders. Operating & Capital Budget / Financial Responsibility: Collaborates with leadership to ensure adequate resources to successfully execute on program strategies to meet community and organizational needs.Manages within annual budges assigned and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses.Ensures labor costs are within established productivity standards. STRATEGIC PLANNING RESPONSIBILITY: Researches upcoming changes related to quality, regulatory or accreditation requirements that relate to the Cancer program and develop strategies to proactively meet new requirements. PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT RESPONSIBILITY: Leads Departmental improvement projects in cancer registry and accreditation performance. STAFFING / LABOR / SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organizationâ™s goals and strategic objectives.Attracts, develops and retains high-performing personnel. Job Summary: The Cancer Registry Manager is responsible for planning and organizing the Cancer Committee, Cancer Conferences, and Cancer Registry operations for all assigned facilities.
